Each year, Sinfonia Smith Square welcomes 34 of the world’s most promising graduate musicians to Smith Square Hall, London, to embark on its renowned Fellowship. More than just an orchestra, this is a community where talented young musicians can gain the skills and experience needed to thrive in their professional careers and many go on to become leaders in the classical music world.
A shared commitment to nurture young talent has been the foundation of EFG’s partnership over the years and so to celebrate the passing of time, we caught up with three musicians who represent the past, present, and future of Sinfonia Smith Square. In this short video, Eugene Lee (Alumnus 2009), Maggie Lamelas (Alumna 2023/24) and Eliza Talman (Fellowship 2024/25) talk about the impact of the Fellowship and in turn, offer their advice to aspiring artists.
